Norvic Worstead 8" Chef Knife
Uncompromising Control. 67-Layer Damascus Steel. Hand-Finished in Norfolk. The Chef’s knife is the absolute workhorse of the kitchen. The Worstead range bridges the gap between premium Japanese aesthetics and rugged Western reliability. It is built for the home cook who wants a beautiful, high-performing tool that can still take a beating on a busy Tuesday night, letting you stop wrestling with blunt steel and simply enjoy cooking again. The Steel: 67-Layer Damascus At its core is Japanese AUS-10 steel. This hard cutting core takes a razor-sharp edge and holds onto it through heavy daily use. It is wrapped in 67 layers of folded Damascus steel, which doesn't just look striking on a magnetic rack, the softer layers of cladding steel help the knife with improved stainless and shock absorbing qualities. The Handle: Heavy-Duty G10 The Worstead handles have a classic, triple-riveted Western profile for uncompromising leverage and comfort. The handle is machined from G10, a dense resin laminate that simply does not care about hot water, acidic juices, or the general mess of a busy kitchen. It fills the palm naturally and locks in securely, preventing any blade twist when your hands are wet. The Norvic Difference: Hand-Finished in Norfolk A premium chef's knife needs an edge you can trust straight out of the box. That is why we finish this blade in-house. We refine the factory edge on our water-cooled Tormek system, hone it, and polish it with 1-micron diamond suspension. This creates an edge that bites instantly and glides effortlessly through ingredients with zero sawing required.
