Photinia × fraseri 'Red Robin' Multistem is a striking evergreen shrub or small tree, specially grown with multiple stems to create a beautiful, architectural shape. Combining year-round evergreen foliage with its famous flashes of vibrant red new growth, it makes a fantastic statement plant for borders, lawns, patios and contemporary garden designs. The real highlight of 'Red Robin' is its colourful young foliage. Fresh leaves emerge a brilliant glossy red before gradually maturing to a rich deep green, creating an attractive contrast across the plant. Further flushes of red growth can be encouraged by lightly pruning during the growing season. Its multi-stem form gives the plant a more mature, characterful appearance than a traditionally grown Photinia, with several stems rising from the base to support a naturally bushy canopy. It works particularly well as a standalone feature plant or can be used to add height, structure and evergreen interest to a mixed planting scheme. Hardy, versatile and relatively low maintenance once established, Photinia 'Red Robin' performs best in a sunny or partially shaded position with well-drained soil.
