Spiny Oyster | Beaded Bracelet

Warm, organic, and completely one of a kind. These chunky spiny oyster shell beads range from creamy white and peach to vivid orange and deep rust, with no two beads quite alike. Despite its name, spiny oyster isn't actually a true oyster. It comes from Spondylus, a family of saltwater bivalve mollusks more closely related to scallops. Their naturally colorful shells are known for beautiful shades of orange, red, pink, purple, and cream and have a long history of being cut and polished for jewelry. Because spiny oyster is a natural shell, each bead varies beautifully in color, pattern, shape, and texture. Each bracelet will be unique. Handmade in San Francisco, CA.
