Chanel <br> F/W 1990 bouclé tweed and velvet jacket

An exceptional vintage Chanel jacket from Karl Lagerfeld’s F/W 1990 collection, crafted in a richly textured chocolate brown bouclé tweed and finished with contrasting black velvet. Beautifully tailored with a softly structured, lightly padded shoulder and slightly boxy silhouette, the jacket features dramatic black velvet notched lapels, velvet trimmed cuffs and four faux front pockets. Three oversized glossy black buttons are inset with goldtone four leaf clover motifs, with two miniature matching buttons fastening the vent at the back waist and the jacket is fully lined in CC logo monogram silk. A rare and highly collectible early Karl Lagerfeld era Chanel piece, and an especially beautiful example of the house’s late 1980's/early 1990's tailoring with similar variations appearing on the runway for the season.
