Vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual reference 6618 dating to approximately 1969. This stainless steel automatic wristwatch features a silver-tone dial with applied baton hour markers, center seconds, and the classic proportions of Rolex's mid-century Oyster Perpetual line. The movement is signed “Montres Rolex S.A. Geneva Swiss,” marked “Twenty Six 26 Jewels,” and is consistent with the Rolex caliber 1161 used in reference 6618 watches of this period. The stainless steel case and case back show scratches, surface wear, lug repair and other signs of previous use consistent with the age of a vintage watch. The silver-tone dial presents well for its age. The leather strap is a replacement and is not represented as an original Rolex strap.
