Waterproof Organic Cotton Duvet Cover

This cover takes the spills so your comforter never has to see the washing machine. Spilled coffee, a child's accident and a dog who sleeps on the bed all stop at the cover. The cover goes in a cold wash, and the comforter inside stays as clean as the day it arrived.Both faces are soft organic cotton knit, with the easy stretch of a good T-shirt. Between them sits an ultra-thin cornstarch-based TPU film, less than a tenth of the total fabric, and that film stops liquid before it reaches the comforter. It is sealed inside, so what touches you is cotton and the cover stays quiet when you turn over.Some people wash everything that touches them, because they live with allergies or chemical sensitivities or are recovering from mold exposure. For them this is the layer that lets a natural comforter stay on the bed. It goes in a cold wash and hangs to dry.It is cut to fit our Organic Cotton Comforter and Organic Wool Comforter, and any duvet insert of the same size. Twin is 72 by 90 inches, Queen 92 by 96 and King 96 by 110. A tie inside each corner fastens to the loops on our comforters. The duvet stays spread across the bed all night.The finished cover is GOTS Certified Organic under license GOTS-10229 through Oregon Tilth. GOTS is the Global Organic Textile Standard, and the workshop is audited on site every year. The standard prohibits PFAS, the forever chemicals used in many stain and water-resistant finishes, and caps the two best known, PFOA and PFOS, at 25 parts per billion. Our cotton is grown in Texas, and the cover is cut and sewn by hand in New Jersey. Ask us for the certificate and we will send it.
