Georgian Emerald Heart Ring with Fleur de Lis
A delicate, Georgian era ring modeled in 14k yellow gold and silver, whose primary gem is an old-fashioned, lobeless, emerald heart. This vibrant, tear-shaped heart is held in a gold cut-down collet, where it is flanked by a pair of silver fleur de lis. Those stylized lilies nest in the ring's split shoulders, and behind them— a design of notches and openwork diamonds that decorate the ring shank, which is slender and reeded. This ring has a smooth, polished, closed back. These early rings are precious and ephemeral. We especially love the floating fleur de lis, here, and the fine, shapely openwork frames that house them. Materials 14k Gold Silver Emerald Diamond Age c. 1760 Size US 6 1/4 Dimensions Ring face measures approx 6.9 mm; emerald measures aprox 6.4 x 4.6 mm; shank measures approx 3.1 mm at the shoulder and tapers to approx 2.3 m at the base.
