Xanadu Shiraz 2008
Tasting notesA review tasted in August 2011 describes blackberry and red fruit alongside black olive, cinnamon and smoky, meaty characters. The palate is medium in weight, with plum, raspberry and savoury forest-floor notes, supported by firm tannins.Vineyard and winemakingThe same review records fruit sourced approximately equally from Xanadu's Stevens Road vineyard and other Margaret River growers. Winemaking included partial whole-berry fermentation, tank and French oak maturation, and a small addition of Viognier.
