Jim Shore - Apple The Apple of my Pie! Gnome Figurine
Jim Shore Apple Gnome Figurine - The Apple of My Pie! You know, living in Berkeley Springs, I thought I'd seen just about everything you could possibly do with an apple. Apple butter, apple pie, apple cider, apple dumplings... And now, apparently, hats. I mean, why not? ๐ Jim Shore has created an entire collection of little fruit-themed gnomes, and this fellow has clearly decided to represent Team Apple. Which, around here, is probably a wise choice. He's got an enormous apple perched on his head, that magnificent gnome beard, and all those wonderful little folk art patterns that Jim Shore does so well. I do have to wonder about the logistics of wearing an apple as a hat, though. Is it heavy? Does he have to worry about bruising? What happens when he walks under a low doorway? These are the things I think about instead of doing actual work. Anyway, his official name is The Apple of My Pie!, which is a pretty good name for a gnome who has made fruit his entire personality. And frankly, living in the home of the Apple Butter Festival, I can't really judge him for that. The Details Collection: Jim Shore Heartwood Creek Design: The Apple of My Pie! I think he'd fit right in. ๐๐
