ALPINE BLUE Hand Dyed on Feather Fingering - Semi-Solid Colorway with Speckles
Alpine Sky reminds me of the cool blue of a sky high up in the mountains. It is a very cool light blue that goes beautifully with so many colors. It has a little tonal variation with slightly darker blue speckles. YARN BASE I used Feather Fingering as the yarn base. Feather Fingering is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
