Purple Edge Necklace

Lavender-blue chalcedony geode slice necklace, hand strung with sterling silver Large freeform slices of chalcedony geode in a soft lavender-blue, with the pale lacy bands of blue lace agate and a fine crystal surface on the inside. Between each slice sits a small stack of sterling silver disc beads. A geode starts as a hollow pocket in rock. Silica-rich water seeps in over a very long time, laying down bands of chalcedony, and tiny quartz crystals then grow on the inner surface. Strung on wire and finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp. Every slice has its own shape and pattern, so every necklace comes out slightly different. Hand strung in our studio in Oslo.
